Fairfax Church is hosting its annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 29th and we need your help!
Trunk or Treat is like trick or treating, but instead of going door-to-door for treats, kids walk through a parking lot and collect treats by walking trunk-to-trunk! Trunks can be decked out with fun themes to add to the excitement of the night. A Ford Explorer turned in a pirate ship? Sure! A Honda Accord turned in a Washington Nationals fan trunk? Perfect!
This special event allows families to invite neighbors as we gather together in a safe, fun environment. But, in order for it to be a successful night, we need trunks for the kids to visit...Lots of trunks!
There are a few quick guidelines though:
- Theme must be family appropriate. No scary/violent/demonic decorations. Remember, we want this to be safe & fun for children of all ages.
- Trunk or Treating will be from 4 pm - 7 pm. We ask that all trunks are set up by 3:30 pm so you are ready to greet the kids.
- No electricity will be available to power any part of your theme, but you can bring a generator if needed.
- Pass out sealed/wrapped candy or trinkets (ie bracelets, glow sticks) from 4 pm to 7 pm. Please bring enough for appoximately 500 kids. Fairfax Kids will be collecting candy donations and handing that candy out to trunks as you run out.
We can't wait to spend this evening with you as we welcome families to Fairfax Chruch!
